Bold, Honest, & Timeless — Raleigh Senior Photography

Every Senior Has a Story — Let’s Tell Theirs

Senior year is a season of celebration, growth, and stepping into the future — and your graduate deserves portraits that honor who they are in this moment. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to reflect their unique personality and passions, whether that means incorporating a beloved car, revisiting a sentimental childhood spot, showcasing their hobbies, or even honoring their college destination. These portraits go beyond the yearbook to tell a story that’s all their own — honest, joyful, and entirely them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sessions as Unique as Your Graduate

When should I schedule my Senior portrait session?

Ideally, you’ll want to schedule your session the summer before or early in your senior year. This gives us time to plan something meaningful and avoids the rush before graduation deadlines. I recommend reaching out 2–3 months in advance so we can secure your preferred season and date.

Can we choose the location?

Yes — and I encourage it! I love incorporating locations that are meaningful to you. Whether it’s your favorite park, the downtown spot you hang out with friends, a sentimental place from childhood, or your future college campus, we’ll create a session that reflects your journey.

What if I want to include hobbies or sports?

Absolutely! Your passions are a big part of who you are right now. Bring your Bible, guitar, ballet shoes, football jersey, letterman jacket — anything that feels like “you.” We’ll work together to capture your personality in a fun and stylish way.

Can I bring my car?

Yes! If your car is something you love or has been part of your high school experience, it makes a fantastic personal touch. Whether it’s a proud first car moment or just a cool backdrop, we’ll make it memorable. Be sure to let me know ahead of time so we can choose the location accordingly.

What should I wear?

Once you’re booked, I’ll send a prep guide with tips on what photographs best and how to coordinate outfits. Most seniors bring 2–3 outfit changes: something casual, something more polished, and something that showcases your personality. I’m also happy to help you narrow down your choices before the session.

Can family be included in the session?

Yes — and I truly believe this is one of the most meaningful parts. Senior year isn’t just a milestone for your teen; it’s a transition for the whole family. As your child prepares to spread their wings and take that next big step, this chapter deserves to be documented with care.
A few portraits with parents, siblings, or even the family dog can be deeply emotional and symbolic — these may be the last professional portraits before your family dynamic shifts. Years from now, these photos often become cherished reminders of the love and connection you’ve built through all the earlier years.

How long is the session?

That depends on the experience you choose! My senior sessions are designed to fit your vision and comfort level:

The Reflect session lasts about 45 minutes — perfect for seniors who want something short, sweet, and focused entirely on them.

The Inspire session runs about 2 hours and allows time for outfit changes, golden-hour lighting, and even including immediate family or pets.

The Legacy session includes two 1.5-hour sessions (usually in spring and fall), offering the most variety and time to capture every side of your senior year — from casual and fun to meaningful and refined, plus cap & gown portraits in the studio.

No matter which session you choose, this is such a significant time — not just for your senior, but for your whole family. With college just around the corner, your family dynamic is about to shift in a big way. These portraits are a way to hold onto this chapter and celebrate who your senior is right now, before everything changes.

What happens after the session?

About two weeks after your session, you'll come into the studio for a personalized viewing experience. We’ll project your beautifully edited portraits onto the big screen — a moment that’s often just as emotional as the session itself. You’ll choose your favorite images, and I’ll walk you through all the options for turning them into meaningful keepsakes: from custom wall art and heirloom albums to graduation announcements and gift prints for family. My goal is to make the process easy and enjoyable so you leave with timeless portraits that honor this milestone in a way that feels true to your senior’s story
